Ed started his career in health care in the United States as a paramedic in 1994, working for an ambulance company and in the Emergency Department of Children’s Memorial Medical Center in Chicago Illinois.
He graduated with BA in Psychology from the University of Illinois in Chicago in 1990, and participated in research on pediatric injury prevention. Ed later went on to pursue his career in nursing, and in 2003 he graduated from Loyola University, Chicago as an RN/BSN. After 9/11 Ed joined US Army Nurse Corps. Advancing his career further, he later began training at Rush University in Chicago in the Nurse Anesthesia program, graduating with a Master’s Degree in Nursing in 2008. Since then, he has been working as a CRNA.
Ed had been deployed to Afghanistan, in support of the Operation Enduring Freedom, in 2009 and 2011. During these deployments he provided all facets of anesthesia care in austere environment to our wounded service members, our NATO allies, and local population.
Ed is a visiting faculty member at Rosalind Franklin University of Health Science in North Chicago. He is a full time clinical CRNA, practicing in a variety of settings; from critical access rural hospitals in Wisconsin to a Level I trauma/burn center in Illinois.
He is a President of EZ Anesthesia Services, LLC. Ed is fluent in Russian and Hebrew.
